In 2018, we embarked on what can only be described as a wild adventure—one that started with a crazy idea and a leap of faith. As a couple who always loved the charm of South Texas, we found ourselves captivated by a property that had great potential, nestled conveniently near the bustling oilfields. It wasn’t just any piece of real estate; it was a place that had been home to workers, travelers, and dreamers, with a small RV park and rental houses just waiting for a little TLC.

When we first set eyes on the property, we were struck by its unique character. Sure, it needed some serious fixing up, but we saw beyond the peeling paint and overgrown weeds. We envisioned a warm, inviting community where people could feel at home, whether they were here for a short stay or a longer haul. And with a bit of elbow grease, we knew we could turn it into something special.

 Now, about that name—Bailey's Hideaway. It turns out the name wasn’t a grand idea we came up with; it was already part of the property’s history. Legend has it that it was inspired by the previous owner’s beloved dog, Bailey. We liked the idea of keeping the name, as it echoed the spirit of warmth and companionship we wanted to foster. 

 With a lot of determination and a sprinkle of creativity, we set to work. The mobile homes became cozy havens, filled with character and all the essentials for comfort. We made sure each space was not just functional but also inviting, creating a home-like atmosphere for our guests. We’re proud to offer a spacious 7-bedroom, 5-bathroom mobile home, ideal for larger crews, as well as a charming smaller mobile home for those who prefer a bit more privacy. 

As we renovated, we also focused on the outdoor spaces. Our small RV park came alive with laughter and camaraderie as oilfield workers from all walks of life gathered to share stories and make connections. We’ve always believed that the best experiences happen when people come together, and Bailey’s Hideaway has become a community where friendships blossom amidst the backdrop of stunning Texas sunsets.

What makes our story truly special is the spirit of those who stay with us. Whether it’s the oilfield workers needing a place to rest after long shifts or families seeking a weekend escape, each guest brings their own unique energy to Bailey's Hideaway. We’ve heard countless stories—of triumphs, challenges, and unforgettable moments—and it’s this vibrant tapestry of experiences that makes our place feel like home.
